Sharath Jois at the Sri Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute, she offers a playful, accessible teaching style that is welcoming to practitioners at all stages of life and practice. Also an Ayurvedic health consultant, she integrates her deep knowledge of holistic health into her teaching, and will also offer Ayurvedic health consultations during the intensive.

Marvelous Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Practice

The focal point of this peaceful intensive will be daily Ashtanga yoga Mysore practice, a highly individualized, silent practice that is perfect for building a home practice. In Mysore-style practice, each student moves through the Ashtanga yoga sequence to the point necessary for their particular needs and development under the supervision and guidance of an experienced Ashtanga yoga teacher. The Ashtanga yoga practice is taught systematically and individually, memorized in the body as postures are added gradually over time. As a result, students are able to take absolute ownership of their practices, offering a supportive yoga practice that is still there for you when you roll out your mat at home. In our six-day intensive, Ann will offer her experience and knowledge to help establish strong foundations that you can carry with you the rest of your life.
